This series of book is great for anyone. It gives great insight into their needs. I loved The Five Languages of Love for Marriage. This is a great book for anyone trying to figure their child out. Dr. Chapman is right on.
Learning the best way of parenting your children does not always come easy but after reading "The Five Love Languages of Children" it has made things easier to discover. Arranging special trips with one or the other allows the quality time with my child that each of them need. Being a mom of twin girls, I have been learning the different ways each of them show their love towards me and others. Understanding this has helped me find the best way to show my love to each of them and how to raise and discipline in effect ways. I love them both endlessly and with the help of this book have been able to show them how deep that love is for them both as my twins as well as individually. This book is written in a very readable way. I'm especially happy about this since my baby daughter is a time hog sometimes. It really shines a light on something not talked about- how to truly communicate love to your family. I have tried some things with my son, who is a "Quality Time" and his behavior has changed drastically. All my son seems to need is a little one-on-one and I would have never thought something as simple as letting him take the garbage out with me could have fixed our relationship. Gary Chapman is a wonderful author.
